KEEP THE ARK OF GOD IN FRONT OF YOU - IN THE NEW YEAR

The New Year is upon us and we have crossed into a new season in our lives. Whether it be in our personal lives, our community, our nation or in the bigger sphere of relationships - we have crossed our "Jordans" - into a new time, a new place, a new season. There's no turning back - even if we want to. It's a new day and a new future.

The story of the crossing of the Jordan river in the days of Joshua helps to point us to a new appreciation that the Lord God of heaven holds our tomorrows - our whole future. He assures us that He Himself will Shepherd us into our tomorrows and we can trust Him fully.

Here's a few thoughts from the Book of Joshua:

"Consecrate[sanctify, commit, rededicate] yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do amazing [miraculous, supernatural] things among you." Joshua 3:5 NIV

KEEP THE ARK AHEAD OF YOU
"See, the ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the earth will go into the Jordan ahead of you. Now then, choose twelve men from the tribes of Israel, one from each tribe. And as soon as the priests who carry the ark of the LORD-the Lord of all the earth-set foot in the Jordan, its waters flowing downstream will be cut off and stand up in a heap." Joshua 3:11-13 NIV

"Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Hebrew 12:1-3 NIV
  • Keep your eyes of faith riveted on the Person of Jesus Christ. Don't be distracted by people circumstances, situations, conditions, events or any temporary happenings...

"When you see the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, and the priests, who are Levites, carrying it, you are to move out from your positions and follow it. Then you will know which way to go, since you have never been this way before. Joshua 3:3-4 NIV
  • He will give you direction. He will lead and guide you all the way.

TAKE UP "A STONE" - THE STONE IS PRECIOUS

"When the whole nation had finished crossing the Jordan, the LORD said to Joshua, "Choose twelve men from among the people, one from each tribe, and tell them to take up twelve stones from the middle of the Jordan from right where the priests stood and to carry them over with you and put them down at the place where you stay tonight."

"So Joshua called together the twelve men he had appointed from the Israelites, one from each tribe, and said to them, "Go over before the ark of the LORD your God into the middle of the Jordan. Each of you is to take up a stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the Israelites, to serve as a sign among you. In the future, when your children ask you, 'What do these stones mean?' tell them that the flow of the Jordan was cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD. When it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. These stones are to be a memorial to the people of Israel forever." Joshua 4:1-7 NIV
  • The future is determined by what you do "with the Stone" - accept or reject the Stone.

"Jesus said to them, "Have you never read in the Scriptures:

"'The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes'? Matthew 21:42 NIV

"Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe,
The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone, and a stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall. They stumble because they disobey the message-which is also what they were destined for."

"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy." 1 Peter 2:7-10 NIV

Let's pray and seek God and believe Him to fulfill His promise for a fresh outpouring of His Holy Spirit in this new season - hearing His voice and obeying Him.

2008 Transfiguration Summit - Global Leaders Summit

THIS IS YOUR PERSONAL INVITATION

Blessings and grace to you in the wonderful Name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Redeemer!

It is our pleasure to invite you to the 9th International Leaders Summit on June 24-28, 2008 to be held at Northwest Forest Conference Center, Cypress, Texas (near Houston). Your participation will be a great blessing to all delegates from the U. S. and other nations. It will be a marvelous time in the Word and in the Holy Spirit to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ!

The theme for the Summit is: Transfiguration Summit – 2008: “BEHOLD HIM! HEAR HIM! OBEY HIM!” …Luke 9:28-35 "This is my Son, whom I have chosen; listen to him." Lk. 9:35 NIV

For certain there is a move of the Holy Spirit in many nations around the world. What we have witnessed as a result the Leaders Summit in St. Laurent Du Pont, France is a clear signal from God that when we humble ourselves to pray and seek His face and turn from our wicked ways, then He will hear from heaven, forgive our sin and heal our land.” II Chron. 7:14

There is a sound from heaven about a present urgency and emergency in our nation and among the nations that we have to pay attention and listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying here and now. God is speaking. Are we listening? Are we walking in obedience to Him and His Word? Is Christ truly the very center of our being and existence? Is He the Lord of our lives and His Church? Does the Holy Spirit have right of way in our work and ministries? How are we making a difference in winning a lost world for Christ? How are we doing in discipling the nations – and fulfilling the Great Commission? I believe that if we keep our focus on the Lord with a fresh love and commitment, we can and will make a difference in our society and among the nations.

During the Summit accommodations and meals will be at Northwest Forest Conference Center. Meals and lodging for the whole Summit is $400/person; $600/couple. Registration for local participants - $100. (Check in time is June 24th PM. Check out is June28th AM.) Kindly confirm your reservations by June 10, 2008. Thank you.

Please let us know what your schedule and flight itinerary will be – your arrival and departure dates and flight numbers. (Fly into Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). Do not fly into Houston Hobby Airport, if possible.) This is not a large conference but a compact group of leaders who will come to receive from other leaders concepts of vision and leadership to finish the task of Christ’s last day harvest, joyfully and victoriously.

To register send Email to: pastorjose@thejoshuageneration.org or give us call at (832) 512-7832

May the Lord’s hand be upon you with great anointing to do what He has chosen you to do.

SO PROUDLY WE HAIL

Early this morning Joyce wanted to fly the American flag. Today is Friday, June 30, 2006. I said, 'you are the only one flying the flag'. She said, 'there's another person flying their flag across the street.'

She went on and displayed the flag above our front door. This special flag flew over the U.S. Capitol on July 15, 1986 which happened to be David, our son's 16th birthday when he participated in a student congress event.

Twenty years have passed since this flag flew over our U. S. Capitol in Washington D. C. Today we want to thank and praise God for a nation like the United States of America. We salute and pay tribute to all who gave their lives that one day we would be one of the recipients of their selfless sacrifice.

In the words of the song writer, "God bless America .....God shed His grace on thee...." will forever echo our gratitude and thanksgiving for God's faithfulness to us all who live in this wonderful country called the United States of America.
